poorly managed - NOT a c&w bar
no a/c in the Summer, no central heat in the winter...no men's night and Jim won't even consider it. Bar staff are good guys and the new DJ is a big improvement. Drink specials are rare, high priced beer and a limited selection. Sunday beer bust is the best thing about this place. Overall needs a manager to do it right. Seems it is going down the same road that the Rainbow Cattle Company did.
You call $1.00 Draft's regular Price
Isn't that what Beer Bust means low cost beer. I know becuase I'm there every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The BBQ is one of the best in town it's the only bar where you can find anyone from twinks to bears and The Spurs pulls people from all walks of life into it without attitude. This club is really what Austin Life is all about.

Rusty Spurs website advertises a Sunday happy hour and beer bust (their only busy day of the week) but charges full price. Isn't that false advertising to get people to come into your business? Skip it
Cool Comfortable Atmosphere
Ive met all kinds of cool people here. Not pretentious. Not conceited. Down to earth
Will definately be back!
As an overseas contractor, I don't get to go back to the U.S. much. I planned my R&R so I would have a full weekend in Austin. I found the Rusty Spurs and fell in love with the bar and the friendly staff. It's a must see while in Austin.
