Walked in and it was a little scary... So dark I couldn't see my boyfriend walking in front of me... Then we got the eye like fat kids give to cookies... It was awkward. Drinks were good.. Parking is HORRIBLE!!!!

only gay bar in Austin worth visiting

When all else fails, chaindrive is the best and probably oldest gay bar in Austin. Yeah its seedy, its dark, but its also cheap with great dj's. Kind of like the ripcord in Houston.

I love this bar

Was there for the first time last night. Not very busy, but what a nice group of people. The bartender was a really nice guy. 2 patios with plenty of chat space - one of them so zen you could meditate there. Looking forward to going back. Not your typical leather bar in terms of attire, but definitely so in atmosphere and spirit.

Not much to it! A bear hang out, great friendly service and men playing pool. Old school leather bar; dark and dingy! They way leather bars were back in the day. Not for the Martini crowd!

I liked the bar but ran off

Some guy online told me he looked like Jerry Garcia and when I met him at the bar he was well lets say not so hot. He made your bar look dumpy but the music was great from what I heard. I wish he would leave there to make your place more presentable. But otherwise great bar and yes they are my skid marks thanks to Bradley.
