We are organizing a group of LGBTQ folks and their allies to march together for the Women's March on ATX. Everyone is welcome to join us to march together under the HRC flag for equality.
Meet us under the huge HRC flag on the southeast corner of the Capitol building. We will start gathering at 11:00 am and move out as the march allows. The plan is to leave from the south gate of the capitol at 12PM and walk down Congress Ave towards 6th Street, across 6th, and north on Lavaca back to the south lawn.
The march route is approximately 1.5 miles, and should take about 1.5 hours to bring all participants back to the south lawn of the capitol around 1:30. From approximately 1:45 to about 3:30, there will be speakers, performances, and programming on the south lawn.
More than 20K people are expected to attend this event. Everyone (included our 4 legged friends) are welcome, but plan accordingly and expect large crowds.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks. There are no organized efforts for food and drinks that we know of.
