Celebrating 30 Years With HIV

On September 13, 2016, I will have been living with HIV for thirty years. Three decades. Nearly 60% of my life. While having a birthday party for a virus may seem silly, this night is not just about me. It's also a night for reflection; for remembering those we've lost; and recognizing that over 35 million others worldwide are gone because of AIDS. And it's about my first lover. My first love. The man I acquired HIV from. The man who changed my life in many positive ways. So come help me celebrate this occasion. To celebrate life. (There is extra parking at the UT Co-Op next door - they are closed on Saturdays.)
