Debt Prisons 101: What you need to know

Do you, someone you know, or the organization you work for interact with people unable to pay court imposed fines? Please come out to our informational session on our rights regarding being to poor to pay fines. We have rights even though we may be impoverished. The Austin Justice Coaltion wants to provide the community with information about Debt Prisons. Attorneys from the Texas Fair Defense Project will provide information on options available for those who cannot afford to pay court imposed fees. If you are connected to any of the communities that may be needing this information please attend in order to share with others.
