Juneteenth Black and Bold Brunch

Join Austin Black Pride for the Juneteenth edition of our Black and Bold Brunch! Saturday, June 18th, 2016 from 12:30 PM to 3 PM at Iron Cactus. Iron Cactus features a magnificent brunch buffet, with a blend of tex-mex and southern comfort cuisines. Not to mention their wonderful bottomless mimosas that are only $8. There will be no assigned seating- as this is a meetup/takeover- and all are welcome! We hope to see many of you out as we celebrate Juneteenth Weekend here in Austin! Juneteenth marks an important moment in American history, June 19, 1865, is when those enslaved in Galveston, Texas first learned of their freedom, two and a half years after the enactment of the Emancipation Proclamation. Thus began the Juneteenth weekend celebration, which has grown to acknowledge the importance of education, achievement, community and freedom.
