Hello everyone! Just wanted to make double sure that everyone knew about the 2nd Annual reunion (the Saturday AFTER the 4th of July) for all the "oldies but goodies" veterans of Austin's gay happy hours, both customers and employees, of the 80's and 90''s. Hello everyone! Just wanted to make double sure that everyone knew about the 2nd Annual reunion (the Saturday AFTER the 4th of July) for all the "oldies but goodies" veterans of Austin's gay happy hours, both customers and employees, of the 80's and 90''s. Talked to Scott Haberbosch from Bout Time today and he says they are gearing up at BT 2 for us - Bout Time II is located on the N IH 35 access road, just a bit north of 290 - located very accessible to all of central Austin - plenty of parking, covered patio, volleyball court and beautiful interior. There will be a buffet - and Scott said to tell anyone who would like to bring anything to share, there will be room on the table and they can provide outlets for warming devices. They are stocking up on extra non-alcoholic beverages (teas, sodas) for those of us who don't imbibe as we used to (ahem). Also remember there are hotels within walking distance for those who want to party like they used to in the 80's and 90's but have more sense now than then!! LOL! Spread the word!! You can direct people to the A 90's Happy Hour Reunion page - anyone can join, it's a public group. Post any questions or comments there also. Can't wait to see everyone. And last but not least - this years reunion will be in honor of Roger Malone who was the major shaker for the 1st reunion last year. Roger left this world unexpectedly and too soon this last year - but if you knew him, you know how pleased he would be if we all renewed "our crowd" again this year in his honor, with at least a few toasts made in his name of course!
