Families in the Southwest- Austin Pride

Families in the Southwest- Austin Pride is Family Equality Council® annual long weekend event for area lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) parents, their children, extended families, prospective families, and friends. Each year, we partner with the Austin community to bring even more family activities, programming and community building to an already exciting weekend. At this year’s Austin Pride celebration, we will kick things off with a family bowling outing, Friday, September 19th; on Saturday, September 20th, we will host a family-friendly booth at the festival, filled with activities for children of all ages; followed by dinner meet up and Pride Parade viewing. Then, we will also wrap up the 2014 Austin Pride weekend on Sunday, September 21th with a Family Pool Pizza Party, hosted by Family Equality Council®, Equality Texas and HRC, where parents and family members of all ages can celebrate with friends both old and new in an incredible weekend together!
