Dear Toy Drive Supporters, We want a really special toy drive this year to honor the memory of one of the most remarkable and generous men who ever lived in Austin, Glenns close friend and mentor, Bob Collins. It was Colonel Bob who suggested that Glenn start this remarkable effort on behalf of children in Central Texas who are affected by HIV/AIDS!
These unwrapped toys will be collected on Sunday, September 12th, at Charlies Austin. Glenn has special festivities planned from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight.
Some of the toys will be distributed in honor of Glenns birthday at a celebration held at our own Roosevelt Gardens residential facility. The remainder will be distributed in early December for the Christmas holidays. We invite the parents of the 273 children in all programs around Central Texas that work with the HIV/AIDS communities to come and shop for their children. They then take the toys home, wrap them and give them to their children for Christmas.
Glenns caring spirit is the driving force behind this meaningful event. It touches the lives of many families in Central Texas and has become an invaluable source of community support and good will to many agencies and the families we all serve.
Thank you for supporting Glenns efforts and by doing so, you also support the outreach programs of all agencies in Central Texas still fighting the brave fight to bring dignity and hope to the HIV/AIDS community in Central Texas.
Sincerely,
Janice Morgan
Interim Executive Director
P.S. Everyone please adopt one child...
Thank You:
Glenn Eaddy
