with the buzz around downtown it seems the cockpit is a quiet reserve. You can talk and drink and cruise safely and enjoy,(THE PATIO RULES)... I remember it as Dicks Deja Disco, most of my memories of good bars downtown were at Dicks/Splash. I recommend everyone to join the real men who know who they are and what they want at CP. Put your landing gear down and maybe I can catch you at the Pit. Nathan

This club needs to become your new home bar

True the crowd has not grown as fast as I would like to see. But the people are nice and the music is good. If you like male dancers check them out on Friday and Saturday just think less people to take his attention from you. If you what to have fun check it out with friends

The new great hangout......The Cockpit!

This is Austin's newest, coolest, revamped bar in the downtown/convention center area. For year's it has needed this major redo.....& it's finally here. Now if only the word would get out & the crowd would pick up. It has it's own parking & one of the larger dance floors in town, which many places cannot say that they have. I've been here several times w/ friends in the last couple of weeks & will be back again! Go & check it out if your in town, you won't regret it.

Great Place With Potential

This place has a nice set up. It has the potential to be great place someday. It may take awhile since it's such a distance away from the warehouse district. But, with the right type of crowd wanting to escape the crowded scene of Oil Can and Rain, this is a place to escape. The staff is friendly and has a great covered patio such as Charlie's. Come out, check out the pit. You may be suprised at home much fun you can have.

The potential is there.

When first going into this bar, I was expecting to see quite a large crowd. I could hear the music well before I entered the front door. On a Friday night, you'd certainly expect more that 10 people (including the 2 bartenders), I that's about the entire count. The theme is no longer "Country Western" and is more a mix of Dance and Tejano Dance. It's a nice bar on the inside and quite large, but a big waste of space for the amount of patrons. It has potential, but it's just not there. I suggest, you go in, have a drink, then head out to another bar.
